Aaargh! 4yo DD arguing black is white

DD turned 4 at the end of last year and has recently started to argue, as I said in the title, black is white! It is driving me mad and I just really wanted to see if people thought I was handling it the right way.
I also have DS, 20 months, and it tends to start with him pointing out a bird and saying "bird....tweet tweet". DD will immediately say "it's NOT a bird, it's a fish". Or if they are watching CBeebies, she will insist that Balamory is called Boat, Postman Pat is called Jess the Cat. All very obvious inversions, but presumably quite confusing for poor old DS because she really does yell at him as if he is getting something wrong!
At first, I just laughed and asked her if she was playing a funny joke but she replied that she wasn't. She seems deadly serious and also quite angry so I now wonder if she is trying to test my boundaries in some odd way, to see if I will cave in and agree with her or stick to my guns and repeat the correct answer. Sometimes, however, we get locked in a daft crossfire: "Balamory", "BOAT" "Balamory" "BOAT" type thing and I must admit that I did get very cross today and tell her she could sit on the naughty step if she didn't stop saying the wrong words all the time.
Any thoughts gratefully received!

ignore it!

Whatever it is she is up to, ignoring it completely will be the best way to let it die out. Just go 'oh yes' in that slighhtly distracted by something more important sort of way.
Honestly - don't rise to it!

orrrrrrrrr you could say " look kid, its a bird. i wasn't asking your opinion. that is a fact."
