Sleep and swaddling

My 8wo ds is pretty lovely and can sleep for 3-4-5 hour stretches depending on variables I cannot fathom. At night. In the day, if I puthim down he wakes after 45 mins which is, I assume, the end of his sleep cycle. Though, if he is being held/ moving he will sleep for much longer. The main difference is swaddling. So - my question is - is it wrong to swaddle him for one of his daytime sleeps? Happy to hear either way. Keen not to establish a pattern where he won't sleep for a decent nap without being held. But concerend this may also be the wrong thing to do.

Thanks.

No I think swaddling fine as definitely helps soothe them. There comes an age where don't need it so much but I think swaddling does help break that holding cycle .

i think swaddling is fine, i did to my boys who all grew out of it by 3mths ish but my dd is just 15mths and STILL has to be swaddled to go to sleep, so for her nap and at bedtime, once asleep she gets out of the swaddle and is fine but to go to sleep she needs to be swaddled, its comforting for little babies and is fine just make sure he doesnt get too hot :)

Big swaddling fan here. I did it for all of DS1's naps. Go for it
