Hi everyone

13 mo old ds has always been a wriggler I often go in to find him upside down or lying horizontal in his cot, he goes to bed in a vest and sleepsuit every night and he has a velour blanket

I'm sure he spends half the nite uncovered but the room doesn't drop below 19 and it doesn't disturb his sleep so I'm not too worried

When did you introduce a duvet and a pillow? What sort is best? How do I get him to stay at the right side of bed?

Ds didn't have a duvet until he was in a bed at 2.9. He had a pillow from 18mths.
Tbh if ds was wriggling around that much I would be worried he would wrap himself up in a duvet.

Have you tried sleeping bags? Ds was in these until he went in his bed.
Brilliant things imo!

Yeh tried sleeping bags he doesn't like them and gets himself annoyed cus he can't stand up in it

He's probably ok as he is for now, then. If it's keeping wamr you'r worried about, maybe try some fleecy all in ones for bed?

LaTristesse · 26/02/2012 22:08

DS was 20mo when he moved into a single bed with a Grobag 1st duvet, which zips onto the sheet so doesn't move. He's never slept better tbh!

Fenouille · 27/02/2012 06:18

I've been eyeing up those zip on duvets - you'd recommend them then? DS is a bit of a wiggler too and is starting to climb out of his sleeping bag during the night and then wake up cold.

LaTristesse · 28/02/2012 15:34

The best bit about them Fenouille is that they popper to the cover so don't slip down inside the bag iyswim. Why they don't make adult ones like that is beyond me, they're genius!

DS does on occasion get his feet out but generally stays underneath, has never slipped too far down and doesn't do that pinwheeling thing all night like he used to in a cot with a sleeping bag on, he definitely sleeps better.
