17 week old suddenly hates the bath after illness

My 17 week old daughter and I have both been ill recently with D&V. I had it far worse than her and the outcome was that she went without her bedtime bath for just under a week (although was top & tailed!).

Since getting better she has screamed every time I bathe her. The most ear piercing screaming I've ever heard. She was fine before and would smile in there. I'm not doing anything different. I smile, talk and sing to her. She has floating toys she likes to look at in there, although I've tried without too. It's not hotter or colder etc. she stops crying as soon as I get her out and wrapped up.

I know she doesn't actually need a bath everyday, but the routine really works so don't want to stop. Also she has cradle cap which I'm attacking alternately with dentinox shampoo and olive oil as she has such long hair I can't leave the oil in really. I obviously get her out as soon as I can when she's distressed.

Any ideas why its happening or how I can get things back to how they were?

TIA

Could her tunny still be sore? If so, maybe its the position that she's in that she doesn't like?

mine was like this, suddenly terrified and screaming his head off at being lowered into the bath, I can't tell you why as it was out of the blue one day and then nothing worked till we bought a 'bath safety swivel seat' from asda for about a tenner when he was about 20weeks - he loved it! it attached to the bottom of the bath with very strong suckers, he could swivel in the seat and turn it side to side, they basically sit in it like a mini high chair, very safe. I think he liked the upright position of it, he seemed to be able to get rid of any fear of water from a sitting position and play with all the toys etc, all screaming stopped, we used it till he was 13m or thereabouts, never a better tenner spent. Now, at 27m, he absolutely loves the bath, splashes around energetically, even lays on his front and moves his arms and legs shouting "wimming!" and doesn't even mind hairwashing. :)

With my baby boy, from newborn sometimes went through stages of liking it and not liking it crying his eyes out.
Now at 9 months he splashes loads and loves it.
