Hi, have posted this in health too, but just thought I would check here too! My DS2 used to suffer with very bad colic and reflux as a baby, but since 6 months has been completely clear of it. However, and this may be completely unrelated, but over the last month he has woke up with tummy pains at 6am (Always the same time!) and then throws up about an hour later, and once he has thrown up he is fine. It has happened 4 times over the last month, doesn't seem viral to me and he only throws up the once, but am concerned that there could be some underline problem.
I have a dr's appointment this evening for him, but have a feeling they are going to fob me off!
Anyone else had this happen?!
Many thanks.

DD has never had reflux or colic. But when she is recovering from a cold she throws up most mornings. I've put it down to the mucus going in her tummy at night.

Not to be gross, but what does his sick look like? Is it mucus or food?

It's like liquid, and it's projectile! (Sorry for anyone that's eating!!!) No food, and doesn't smell! Very strange!

What did the dr say?x

pinkdaisy · 10/02/2012 13:44

Not very much! She said that she wasn't sure what it was or why it's happening, but unlikely to be an after effect from his reflux! Then she asked if I thought he was doing it for attention! Which he most definitely isn't, especially that it's so projectile! She said the keep a journal to see if there are any patterns or triggers, so am doing that! I do have the number for the pediatric consultant that he saw when he was little with the reflux, and he did say if I ever had any probs with him in the future I could contact him direct, so if it carries on much longer I will probably do that! Cut out the middle man!!!!

My DS has done this a couple of times (4m old), I put it down to him eating too much as it smelt like stale milk but then he is ebf...although I didn't think you could over feed an ebf baby so maybe it is something else - sorry was no help at all Smile

We had a dreadful night of vomit last night with 7 month old dd2. It was slimy and mucussy so I've put it down to the never ending cough. Hoping better tonight-three changes of clothes and bedding last night was no fun.
