Dairy replacing formula

DD is nearly 10 months and is still only having 2 solid meals per day. I am conscious that she needs to have at least 18 fl oz formula per day. She won't drink more than 7 oz per feed (and sometimes will only have between 4 and 6 oz) so the morning and evening feed count for 14 oz.

If I use formula on her breakfast (instead of cow's milk) and give her a yoghurt with her 3rd meal is this enough to cover the shortfall?

the pint of milk a day can include cows milk i think!

does she only have 2 bottles a day? My ds is almost one and still has 4!!! lol

My DS3 is nearly 18 months and still necking three 7 oz bottles a day. Would your DD not drink another few ounces of milk in the afternoon, to get up to 18 fl oz?

Thanks for your quick replies. She has 3 bottles at the moment. If cow's milk counts as part of the 1 pint then that would be ok cos I put 4-5oz on her weetabix.

I had a milk intolerent baby that had to have soya for a few months and then try to catch up. everything counts what gets mixed in with cooking, yoghurts, breakfast I would give her every calcium rich food you can find some people dont like milk my kids included so they never really drank the pint once they werent breast feeding any more

yes cows milk counts as well - and other dairy products - yoghurt, cheese etc. So if you're using milke on her breakfast serial then that counts, plus if she's having yoghurt as dessert, and if you make anything with white/cheese sauce that counts as well
