Random question but my DS (2.9) started dribbling again a couple of months ago... Has all his teeth and can't think if any other reason?? Any ideas?

Not a huge deal just annoying to be changing his top all the time and seeing his drool running down his chin :)

could be his adenoids/polyps are too big so he cant breath through nose therefore opens mouth and dribbles. if has been going on for a while and there is no signs of a cold could be worth checking out with GP.

My DD drools lots when she has a cold or is congested..could be this...

Thanks for replies. He's definitely not congested or 'coldy' at the moment so will mention it to doc next time we are there. Smile

I would easy to fix and if delayed can cause a speech problem if tonsils are large too my nephew is struggling with retraining his speech at 5 because they didn't think to check it out.

Oh really? Never knew that. He was an early talker and has great speech - so can it cause problems once speech is already established?

Im no expert but would imagine it could still change the way he talks, The docs told my SIL that his tonsils had pushed his tongue forward and that caused his speech to be unclear plus the adenoid enlargement meant he talked like he was blocked up and got used to it so now he has to retrain it.
