Can this be normal behaviour?

Name change in case friend is a MNer too!

My friend DS is 15months. For the past 6 months if he has not got his own way he has coughed and coughed or stuck his fingers down his throat to make himself violently sick.

He is a very bright boy, he has learnt lots of words. He started pointing at around 6 months. Walking at 10 months, you get the picture. But I find the fact that he makes himself sick worrying. He does it, or tries to several times a day.

Yes my first was same as Twiglett's - more evidence that he's a very bright boy!!!! I think toddlers do all sorts of anti-social things. I would see it as being more bl**dy annoying than worrying per se.

does he get his own way when he makes himself sick? If so, he has learned it is an effective tool to get his parents to do what he wants them to. They soon wise up to what helps them get their own way!!

With the best will in the world, and I know my DF will agree he is a spoilt little boy, largely used to getting his own way. If he gets told off he bites her. Several times for no reason he goes mouth open to bite DS anywhere he can!

Yes I think she has got her work cut out for her!!
