My two boys turn into maniacs after their bath, do yours?

Yep :)

Yes

MarkStretch · 18/11/2011 18:36

Yep! They normally use my bed as a mountain/den/trampoline.

EsmeWeatherwax · 18/11/2011 18:46

Yep, in fact, I know dd1 is really ready for her bed after bath when she is literally bouncing off the walls!

Dgs (2.4) runs round and round (and round ad infinitum) the living room, shouting at the top of his voice. We call it "running down his batteries" and he usually sleeps like a log.

When DS1 was little the recommended bedtime routine, bath, story etc would wind him up and he would bounce off the walls! Stories were read during the day and bath time was done in the morning! We had to find another routine for him which included colouring, quiet music and then a dark room! ps he first slept through the night aged 5!!

Agree totally with MarkStretch and add wrestling also! It's all good fun though and they're usually asleep within 5 mins of getting into bed!

Whizkidwithacrazystreak · 18/11/2011 19:21

Sounds very common then.

Boaty - poor you 5 years of broken sleep. Ouch.

Yep, this is why a bath is NOT part of DS's bedtime routine :o

mamalovebird · 18/11/2011 19:53

Yep, DS goes nuts. I just let him wear himself out for half an hour and yep, he's asleep within 5 minutes.
