My son is 11 months and has always been a great sleeper (very lucky I know). He goes to bed at 7.30 every night and sleeps till 7 the next morning. As you would expect his nappies are always very heavy in the morning but there has been no spillage. For the past week this has not been the case. His body grow/ sleepsuit and sleeping bag have all been wet. I normally use Pampers Baby Dry orActive fit nappies. Are there better ones on the market that would keep him dry? I've stuck to the one brand because he has eczema and pampers don't irritate his skin. Is this a common problem or should I be worried about excessive wee?

We've used ASDA Comfort Dry for 20mo DD pretty much since birth (when the Pampers and Huggies freebies ran out!) and have found them to be excellent for containing wee - they're quite thick and see to absorb a lot.

Yes we also use Asda comfort fit. My DD usually sleeps 12hrs at night and we've never had a leak!

I've stuck to Pampers with DD2 and they seem to work well - she also sleeps roughly the same as your DS. Have you tried going up a size?

Everyone seems to have different ideas on nappies. All have their own favourite and what works for one doesn't seem to for another. I've been through them all for the same problem (night time leaking) and the best I ever come across was huggies and the worst were pampers. The Asda comfort were the next best to the huggies. Some people find it the complete opposite though. I think you just have to try and see for yourself :)

I liked the Asda Action Fit, they have double elastic on the legs and I found them less leaky than the Comfort Fit

Not sure how open you are to re-usable nappies but I found them MUCH more absorbant at night time.

My son is actually 7 years old but incontinent, he wears disposable pull ups in the day time but because he wee's SOOOOO much (well he would being 7) at night time he was out-peeing every single brand of pull-up / nappy I could find.

Someone told me to try a re-usable one and I was amazed at how much it held. I now have 2 re0usable one's just for night time and have no more wet bedding.

Many thanks for all your replies. A girl at a rhyme time session gave me an Aldi's one to try. Much better and much cheaper too!

We have the same issue, I have been generally unimpressed with Huggies/Pampers and now usually use the Nature Baby ones which are pretty good. However I randomly got a pack of Sainburys Eco nappies recently and they were even better.

Another tip I got was to put a waterproof wrapper (the ones you get for use with washable nappies) over the top of your disposable nappy. This at least stops it leaking right through and wetting bedclothes. Also, I definately tend to size up for nightime
