7 yo on desmotabs, when will they work?

I was kind of hoping that it would just work, bugger. She started on 1 and vie increased it to 2. She's been on them about a week. Is it the case that if they don't work now, they will continue not to work iyswim? Can the dose be increased any? The paed did suggest the melts are more effective but they didn't have any in the pharmacy.

were you (dd) prescribed melts?

No desmotabs but she did say to get the melts from the gp

It depends what you mean by 'work'
DS started taking them when he was 7 and he was finally dry at night by 14.
I thought the tablets worked as he did not wet until first thing in the morning rather than in the early hours so I classed them as a success. Grin
What outcome are you hoping for?

two different things - if hormone (non) production is the reason for wetting, synthetic hormone (meds) will solve it.

if dd wets because she is a very deep sleeper, the meds might not work and you need to try an enuresis alarm.

dd1 tried meds and they didn't work at all, however strong the dose.

she was dry within 2 weeks using an enuresis alarm.

some kids are a mixture of both reasons, so you might need to try a combination.

I think it might be a combination of both, hormone and deep sleep. Im not sure if she's wetting any less. The paed did suggest if this didn't work then it'd be a good idea to try an alarm aswell
