What age do you tell a child they are dyspraxic?

With low self esteem being a common issue I wondered if it would help to try and explain it sooner rather than later?

My son is dyspraxic so struggling with writing, organisation etc. Oh, and he doesn't feel pain or cold or hunger unless it's extreme. Broke his arm, not a tear...

We gave ds some idea quite early on, around 7/8 ish as he was aware he was different to others although we didn't label is specifically. It helped in that he could offer an explanation (he's also hypermobile so he mentions "loose joints") for his poor coordination and slow writing. He laso has a high pain threshold.

We told DD around the same age as Lizs did, again so she knew there was a reason why she found things harder. She also has hypermobility so said about the loose joints.

DS is just 8 and having issues with writing and spelling and the school have screened him for Dyslexia and asked me to go to the doctor to see if they will refer for a Dyspraxia assessment. DS and I had a look at the list of famous people with Dyslexia and knows about Daniel Radcliffe having Dyspraxia, this seemed to help.
