Hi all, Dd has just started to do this to me and I'mm keen to discourage it in the right sort of way iyswim. At the moment she's only biting me but I'll be mortified if she bites one of her friends. I really have no ideas other than saying no! Helllppppp!

This is a really common phase, I think.
When DS did it, I just put him away from me - put him down, or put him out of the door. Only for a few seconds, and not so much in terms of 'punishment' but so that he knew that he would be put down or put at a distance from me if he did it. he stopped really quickly.

Any kind of fuss or battle just seems to encourtage them, at that age.

That's what I feared (the pointless battle i mean!), good tip, I'll try that one blustocking. Thank you

My friend swears by giving "Bite medicine" (a drop of vinegar). She reckons her daughter only did it the once!

was going to ask myself, as dd3 just crawled upto me, climbed on my lap (i was sitting on the floor) and she sunk her teeth into my arm. little monkey.
