Is anybody else sad that their children are growing up? My daughter is almost 3 now and when i look at her she is starting to look more and more like a little girl, not my little baby. Its making me very nostalgic for her baby days!

I had a sobbing fit when DD was about 6mo, when I realised she wouldn't be a tiny baby forever and one day she was going to leave home and then I'd not be able to snuggle her head and sneak into her room at night to watch her sleep

peterpan99 · 12/09/2011 21:17

i feel the same i just cant imagine her not being the way she is now.

Time to have another baby Wink

yes but at some point there are just no more babies. Mine are 12 and 10 - wahhhh!!!

Tequilamockinbird · 12/09/2011 21:27

My DD is almost 14, yet it feels like only yesterday that she was a tiny newborn.

Radio 2 played 'slipping through my fingers' the other day while I was driving to work and I cried buckets Sad

Trying to live in the moment here. Otherwise I get "she's/he's all grown up" feelings rather prematurely-remember it at six week check with dd! Luckily dd2, and ds, still feel like babies to me. Dd2 is-she's ten weeks and ds isn't really but acts like it (2.10)!

Not needing purple calpol!! Even my 10yo insists on it. I buy it by the bucket load...Grin
My baby has just gone to school. Told dh I was feeling broody and he's now keeping arms length from me.

Dd1 is 6 today and we're already getting "attitude" from her. I am so sad that she'll never be a "baby" anymore. Dd2 is still only 3 and very loving so I still get lots of hugs and kisses but yes, I do get very sad about them growing up (and it seems to go so quickly once they hit about 4).
