Any experience? I'm a bit skeptical, but curious. Any recommendations if you've found they do work?

Can't see there's much basis to it. Might be that looking at it reminds you to be compassionate towards your baby so they get extra cuddles? Had never heard of them til I read this thread but did wonder why some of my friends' babies were wearing necklaces. Thought it was some club I wasn't a member of.

They are really popular in SA and NZ. I've tried one with my DD, and while I didn't notice any real difference in teething behaviour (either pain or dribble), it did look really cool and I've continued to use it now she's 2.5. I doubt it could throttle her as it is quite fitted.

I spoke to the pharmacist about them- he very strongly advised against saying no proof they work and said there was a danger of strangulation- he made the point that as they are unregulated (so no kite Mark,) you don't know if the one you purchase is safe even if some are.

my daughter hasn't had any problems with her teeth. I can't tell for sure if it is due to her necklace but when her old one snapped she was grumpy and restless until the new one came. The ones I stock in my shop (just a mummy) have knots between each bead and are easy snap. I have tested them myself as how easily they snap and if I try to tie them they snap.
