My twins keep tipping all liquid out of their cups

My twin boys are 15 months and still drinking from bottles. My hv is cross with me for not using cups, but in spite of constant trying they take a couple of sips then just up-end the cups and splash about in the puddle with their hands. I don't mind this, except it means the only way I can get liquid down is by bottle. I don't really want to deny them liquid unless by cup. One of the boys drinks better than the other, but they always copy each other so each session ends up the same way. I get frustrated and take the cups away which ends in tears from both.

even sippy cups?

what about cups with straws?

bollocks to HV, do what you like - its not like they will forever be unale to drink out of a cup is it?!

See if you can find some anyway up cups, they are virtually leak proof (although one of DD's now leaks since she shoved a straw through the valve).

Give them lidded cups then

[don't listen to HV = nobrainer]

I've got tommee tippee ones without valves that cause the trouble. Bought an avent bottle with a valve which I struggled to suck any liquid out of myself so don't use with boys. Sorry, being a bit thick. Are sippy cups ones with valves?
Havent tried straws. Is that with an open cup? or a closed one with an integral straw?

My dd used to do the same, she even worked out how to get the lid off her sippy cup - cue puddles, like your twins. Then I found this www.littlestuff.co.uk/reviews/amadeus-360-junior-cup-product-review.php
They can tip it as much as they like and it doesnt spill, can have a leak if dropped from height tho!! The lid is screwed on so unless they are very dextrous already then they should stay dry! They can drink from anywhere around the rim. I got mine in Asda for approx £4. It was a while ago so dont remember exactly.

PS - If you search for them on Google, some also have handles so easier for little ones to hold, especially when full.
