Baby star signs! For all the spiritual mummies out there!

Hi all!

I don't know how everyone else feels about astrology, but i've always been an astrology freak and really believe that taking a baby's star sign in to account should be done more often.
My DD (born in March) is a Pisces, a very sensitive, emotional sign that needs a lot of reassurance and a gentle approach, who is never quite in the real world and loves to daydream. She is happier when constantly attached to me, and I think she will always be attached to me as, me being a piscean aswell, was the same as a baby.
(I also think she will have beautiful eyes as we pisceans are known for that! Hehe)

I really do believe it has a lot to do with their behaviour, and understanding the way the sign of your child is can help a lot. I own 'The Astrology Bible' that tells you what the adult is like, and what the child is like, along with all their colours and stones and everything else! I also think it's great to do an astrology chart for your baby, although complicated, can really tell you a lot about your DC.

Who agrees with me? And what's your DC's sign?

Hope this opens up a nice spiritual thread for all the lovely hippy mums on here :) x

They say economic modelling was invented to make astrology look legitimate. Wink

ManicPanic · 16/05/2011 19:24

Being a typical Aquairius, I believe in it.

Dh, being a typical suspicious Scorpio, thinks it's all a scam.

Dd, being a typical Aries, will make up her own mind, in her own time, thank you very much. Wink

We had her chart done soon after she was born and it was uncannily accurate re: the circumstances of her birth, and still appears accurate as time goes on and she grows up.

"They" say a lot of things my dear.

I'm a Gemini (on the cusp with Taurus) and I've always loved astrology/numerology all of that stuff, probably because i love to try and understand things, especially people myself

DP is a Sagittarius so he pretends not to believe in anything that pigeonholes people but secretly finds it interesting.

My dad had his chart done before he got married to my mum and it was amazingly accurate. Described him and his two children (me and my brother) to a T.
I had a reading of my chart done once before and although I was a bit sceptical it was also really good.

I have a Pisces DD and an Aquarian DS and would love to know more about them and their developing relationship if you
Know much about this sort of thing illustratedmum?

pettyprudence · 16/05/2011 19:45

DS is an Aries and boy do we know it! Most of my family are Aries or fire signs and I am a Pisces - the odd one out Grin. I would find a Pisces baby so much easier....... [wishful thinking]

Piggyleroux · 17/05/2011 08:02

Ds is an Aries, I'm a Gemini and dh is a cancerian so fun all round.

theillustratedmum · 17/05/2011 12:30

Rosemallow - Yes, me too :)
Charts can be scarily accurate, can't they!
Pisces and Aquarius, I think you've got a good chance of them getting on actually :) They'll definitely form a strong bond, and I think because you have a piscean girl and aquarian boy, she'll be able to teach him how to be more tolerant and loving, and he'll be able to teach her how to follow through with plans (as pisceans tend to lack this skill ha ha)
Also because pisceans are very understanding and intuitive, aquarians get the interest in their ideas that they always seek.
Just be careful because they could get frustrated with eachother, because Aquarians are very logical, and Pisceans are not! Although, both forgive quickly so I think it's a good sibling match :)
Obviously each sign, despite the typical ones, have their own unique tendencies so couldn't be spot on with your DC's!

prettyprudence - Wow, must be a lot of fun surrounded by fire signs! :)
Personally, I think pisces children are really high maintenance, very emotional, little cups that fill up with everything that you feel and constantly looking for reassurance. I think a pisces parent/pisces child relationship is the best for the child, as being so intuitive a pisces parent can understand them fully. :)
I'm a piscean myself and my mum was born on the cancer-leo cusp, and I don't think the leo in her completely understood why I constantly wanted to be attached to her! My brother and sister just got on with their own thing and I think she could relate to that a lot more.

Only problem with us Pisceans is that we're so loving that we tend to over do it with the cotton wool!

Piggyleroux - Sounds like a very interesting household! Grin
Mine is a very emotional/dramatic setup as there's me, pisces, DD is a pisces and DP is a very stereotypical Leo!

DS...Libra: Charms everyone, especially the laydeeeeez. He's recently learnt how to say hello and goodbye in Mandarin and is trying it out on every far Eastern girl/woman who comes near enough.
Perfect (almost) manners, although he has the foul sense of humour typical of all four-year-olds. He also worries about people being lonely and has unusually strong empathy. He's also quite manipulative and crafty, and learnt to (try to) play DP and I off against each other early on.

DD....Aries (like me). She's tiny, has a red tinge to her hair, and sounds like an enraged velociraptor most of the time, with a laugh like the hideous old granny fro Catherine Tate. She's way more active and demanding than DS, bangs her head a lot (like I did) and is quite happy marching into a room of much bigger children and mucking in. She takes a strong like/dislike to people almost immediately and doesn't have the same need to please that her brother does. She can also demolish three bowls of adult-strength chili in one sitting.

Mumofjz · 17/05/2011 17:44

Oooo this sounds interresting - i'm rubbish at this kind of stuff (Capricorn) but would love to know about my DD - Libra and DS - Gemini - both seem to have split personality some way or other

WelshCat · 17/05/2011 19:58

I am quite into this sort of thing, although not to the point of having much knowledge!

Illustratedmum do you know anything about the chinese zodiac? IMO it seems more accurate when combined with star signs, eg DS is a Tiger/Leo (god help me..) and I am a Tiger/Virgo.

All the books I have read on the chinese zodiac are insanely accurate to almost everyone!

Rosemallow · 17/05/2011 20:03

Ah thanks illustratedmum.
It's nice to read such lovely qualities associated with my DC.
DD is just 2 and DS is 3 months and she is already showing a really loving caring side.

She has never resented him or tried to hurt him etc (she was a bit clingy and grumpy with us when we brought him home but that never came across with how she was with him) and she does get a little sulky and jealous sometimes but 99% of the time she is a little comedian or off playing with her 'family' of toys. She is desperate to play with him and has squashed him a couple of times with super tight cuddles :)
He loves watching her and is very tolerant of the bear hugs.
I'm hoping because I have Pisces rising I will understand her a little bit better.

Pussinflatboots · 18/05/2011 19:38

I'm quite interested - veer between belief and cynicism. I'm an Aries, DH is a Taurus, and DD is Aquarius (but only 3 months old, so yet to see much personality Grin). Illustratedmum, WDYR? Happy families or torment down the line?
