Dd (6 yrs) has a language disorder and is in a language unit. It has been a tough few years with lots of ups and downs.
Went into school today and I do feel that we have turned a huge corner. She is doing very well with her reading, which was assessed at age 7, her spelling was age 9 yrs 3 months and maths is as it should be.
She is making friends and her behaviour has settled down lots and she manages to sit through a whole assembly.
We managed a big shop and went to the park today and it was so, so lovely to see her interacting and playing with other children.
I don't expect anyone to reply but just needed to gush really. I am so proud and grateful to have such a special little girl. She has come such a long way!
