Is it normal for my ds to be interested in womens breasts? None of the other boys or girls his age seem to have such a fasination with them, if a lady has lets say an ample bust size and she makes the mistake of picking him up he buries his head in them.

I myself am not well endowed in the bust department so he seems to ignore mine but my mother has been genorously provided for (pah genetics) and he is forever burying his head inbetween them or grabbing at them or just resting his head on them! This applies to other women too but only those with a reasonable sized bust.

He saw a mother breastfeeding her son (aged about 2) and decided that the boy had clearly had enough and tried to pull him off and well have his turn - this was at mother and toddler group and I am soooo embaressed I don't think I can go back again.

So does anyone have any advice - ds is now 17 months so he won't get away with this for much longer, but I don't know how to stop it.

Thank you all - I've never noticed other boys doing this so just knowing that they do helps, dd didn't take any notice of breasts, she was amazed when I started to breastfeed ds and likend me to a cow! This was not helped by expressing.........

Roll on discretion

misdee, I think ours must be psychic boobie fiends, DD (4.5) is exactly the same. Except she can't seem to say willy, she says wooly. Have you go a wooly?

fio2 · 27/09/2003 13:57

saves on the embarrasment then pie?

pie · 27/09/2003 13:59

fio, it would, but she points to her fanny when asking, so then you really have to explain what she is calling a wooly.

my ds knows quite a few body parts but is obsessed with saying 'willy' and pointing it out. He cant even get eyes and ears right but willy is right every time. I think they do it on purpose

Angeliz · 27/09/2003 14:13

just out of interest, my dd knows most body parts but everything "under her apron" is "bum"! What or when should she learn any different words...and which words???

fio2 · 27/09/2003 14:57

who bloody knows Angeliz?? and who cares? She sounds lovely dont worry!

Jenie · 27/09/2003 17:29

Speaking of what to name body parts dd calls ds willy his John Thomas - I've found that it stops her ending up in fits of giggles when ever it is mentioned. Dd is 4 but since starting school has found certain words hilarious ie bum, willy and so on.

My ds too is fascinated with my breasts, especially my nipples. Dh has taught him to push peoples noses and go 'beeeeep' and he does it with my nipples as well! He loves to snuggles in a regularly tries to get inside my clothes in public. He's almost 20 months and I stopped feeding him at 15 months when I got pregnant. His childminder is feeding her dd (9 months) and he tries to get in there as often as he can. He still occasionally latches on to me and has a couple of sucks before he realises nothing is coming out. I reckon he's going to want a go when the new baby is born - not sure how I feel about that!
He loves other women with big busts too but luckily doesn't try to get at them - which would be very embarrasing!

I let my dd try some breast milk when ds was a baby, I expressed some into a glass and let her try it - she didn't like it and never asked again.
