i had my boy beginning august and we have mixed fed him all the way near enougfh - all of a sudden he wont take abottle anymore? Our health visitor has suggested it may be teething so we have bought the gel, new teets etc you name it we tried it -we are totally stumped - desperate to get him back on the bottles as he has bad reflux and colic so needs baby gaviscon

Have you tried buying some new teats or moving up to the next number so it flows faster? Sorry, that's all I can think of, hope you sort it out.

Playtex, playtex, playtex!!!! Their Naturallatch nipple is very breastlike! It is currently the only one that ds3 will take. I would also recommend not bfing for about 4 hours, (difficult I know!!) so baby is really hungry, then trying the bottle. Sometimes at this age they make a decision as to what they like and what they don't like. Ds3 decided against bottles, a complete shock to me as ds1 and ds2 had switched easily between breast and bottle on Avent teats. He took MAM teats for a while but decided against those when he started solids. Also, on Mears and fletchies advice I held him facing away from me when giving him the bottle. It may also help if your dh/dp gives the bottle though sadly this did not work for me. Best of luck!

Syringe for the gaviscon (without a needle obviously) point into cheek rather than throat and it will go down.

tried faster teets, tried everything! Its as if he just doesn't like bottles?

jayscaletta, my ds hated bottles too but has now taken to them again. Sometimes it just takes time!

I had the same problem with dd1 and now having it with dd2 (16 weeks tomorrow). The way I cracked it with dd1 is waiting until she slept through the night and she woke up starving. After a couple of attempts I got her to take one. Good luck!
