Is stupidness normal for a 7yo boy?

I have had the most funny but infuriating few days with my DS.

It started on friday after i picked him up from football. He burst into tears about losing one of his shinpads. It took me a while to reassure him that we would go to the office on monday to see if they had found it. It wasnt until we got home and changed him we noticed he had put both shinpads on the same bloody leg!

Then yesterday when out on his bike he was always putting his helmet on backwards, or had the handle bar round the wrong way.

These along with general clumsiness, forgetfullness, and a bit of aggression thrown in towards me, his dad and sister. please tell me this is part of bring up a boy?

Yes. They often do that. He sounds completely normal.

I think so. Well DS who is 7 manages to do many of the things you have said. He is lovely most of the time as well though :)

I would have to say on these reasons alone, they are normal examples of boys!

I've noticed general clumsiness when he's having a growth spurt. As if he doesn't realise how big his feet are etc?

I've got a 9yo ds and a 6yo ds. To be honest, I'd be more worried if they weren't like this - seems to be the default, in this house anyway!

Fabulous, thank you. I best keep seeing the funny sides of his behaviour then. Grin

Having a boy in my life is a whole new thing for me as i grew up with sisters, and were not close with male cousins. I am much more confident with DD.
