DD has a wooden trolley and loves it, but my front room isn't massive, so we have to keep stopping and turning tound.

My local library would be fab...long carpeted aisle, but I don't think they'd be up for it.

Any ideas?

playgroups held in big church halls, now the weather is better, playgrounds. We have the same problem.

I'd trythe library. We're there several times a week with DS tottering around everywhere. If you pick the right time of day it can be surprisingly quiet in the children's section.

do you have any soft play areas where you are? Before they are officially walking (ie if they still need a trolley) they are usually really cheap - the one near me only charges a pound for crawlers. And some of them have long open spaces for toddling

Ooh, thanks! Will definitely try these ideas Smile

Airports, quiet shopping centres, hotel lobbies: thats where we went anyway.

i have this prob and was planning on looking for a new (2nd hand) one which has rotating wheels...im guessing from the responses such a thing doesnt exist??

I'm impressed that they manage with the walker, actually. My 14 m.o. has just started walking independently, but has never managed it with his trolley - he finds it much easier to hold onto your hands. :)
