If the 2's are "terrible", then what are the 3's, 4's and 5's in your opinion?!

Out of interest?
I am finding the 3's much harder than the 2's for various reasons...

I heard the term 'threenager' on here

I'm just at Totally Attitude Twelves and Eh? I'm an Adult Eighteen.

AtYourCervix · 21/03/2011 14:55

12 through to 15 are just fucking horrible.

MrsOtter · 21/03/2011 14:57

I am at 3 and ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH is all I have to say.

Threeanger sums it up nicley. 100% worse than 2

Ginabraz · 21/03/2011 16:40

My DS1 is 3 and DS2 is 2.

3 is horrible, terrible and frightfully frustrating. DS2 is like a playful little puppy in comparison!

Scary to see that each year doesn't get any easier/better. What were we thinking!!

mrsnw · 21/03/2011 19:06

Yes 3 is so much harder than 2. My ds got better when he turned 4 although he can still be difficult. Looking forward to him starting rec in Sept. My 2 year old dd is pretty bad so am hoping she is a dream when she is 3 Grin

CharlotteBronteSaurus · 21/03/2011 19:11

oh no, i thought 3 was, er, Three-mendous.
we are only a month into the 4s though, and i declare them to be Fucking Frightful.

pointydog · 21/03/2011 19:15

I found the 3s much harder than the 2s. Hard to notice much improvement in the 4s. But it's there in teh 5s and continues to improve thereafter.

pointydog · 21/03/2011 19:16

Teens are fantastic. So far.

BetamaxBandit · 21/03/2011 19:23

I like 3 :)
Twos were the utter pits though.

MrsSparkle · 21/03/2011 19:25

I have found 2s really hard and 3s much better. My dd became nice at 3 after a year of hellish 2.

nethunsreject · 21/03/2011 19:26

Fucking fours.

MrsSparkle · 21/03/2011 19:27

I think with 4s it depends if they are at school or not. My dd is Oct baby so just missed out and she is sooo ready for school. I think most of her outbursts are through frustration because she has outgrown the pre school stage.

fivegomadinthelambingshed · 21/03/2011 19:29

DD's threenager year was hideous. Her 2's were better, DS's 2's have been OK but I think mainly as he has a much better vocab range than DD had even at 3 so has been less frustrated. I think with her alot was some slight developmental delay.

emma1977 · 21/03/2011 22:11

Glad it's not just me finding 3 so much worse than 2.

Whiney is my word which sums it up so far

hobnob57 · 21/03/2011 22:49

Three was godawful and yes, whineywhineywhiney. Four is pretty feisty so far. But that was a child who was lovely until 3. Her little sister, by comparison, is looking like she is heading for some pretty terrible twos and she is not yet 18 months! I'm optimistic for her 3's...

ShowOfHands · 21/03/2011 22:53

DD is nearly 4. I've loved all of it so far. Not found any of it particularly difficult. Oh except for the newborn bit. That was hard.

Which leads me to believe she's saving it all up. I suspect that 5 onwards will be challenging.

simpson · 21/03/2011 22:57

DS is 5 and no bother really a bit stubborn maybe but OMG DD (3) is truly awful

Regular hissy fits about everything

Contant questions about everything, argues about everything "the sky is not blue its green" etc...

Sceaming fits when she cannot do stuff herself (ie put trainers on) refuses to let me help then flings them across the room and refuses to let them go anywhere near her feet at all!!

Got out old photo albums the other day thinking DC might like to look at baby pics of them selves but no, DD flung herself off sofa in sceaming fit because she was not in *every pic

simpson · 21/03/2011 23:00

also went to her parents eve last wk at her private nursery and she is a total angel there Hmm

EenyMeenyMaya · 21/03/2011 23:09

Nooooo! I was hoping it got better. Lie to me please. Tell me that from three it's a piece of cake. Hmm

is any age actually nice?!

DS has been having proper tantrums and hissy fits since 10 months, I am DREADING the twos and up. At least he might sleep then though. that could make it easier.
