Has anybody got any suggestions that can help me?

My, only just, 9 year old has some pretty obvious underarm hair, that I'm not sure what to do with, is she too young for hair removal, what would i use - is there a special deodrant for young girls - she doesn't have an odour, but with Summer coming I need to prepare myself!

I thought i had a few more years of innocence before I needed to look into all this - obviously not!

Help - all advise v.much appreciated!

My DD has nipples buds at 8 yrs old ,,, and they say that 1:6 girls at the age of 8 yrs nowadays have puperty hormones starting to appear.
Best just leave it at the moment, but just know it is probably the puperty hormones emerging....young I know, but possible.
Maybe can offer some deodorant. . .or some nice girls body spray...have a look on the shelves in Boots or Superdrug and see what you can buy.

I remember being around that age and my mum saying 'Ooh you really smell maybe we should get you some deodorant'. Then a week or so later 'You still smell, maybe it's time you shaved your armpits'. This was in front of other people as well, I was mortified.

Talk to her about it. If she feels ready to start hair removal and using deodorant then go ahead, it won't do her any harm and will probably make her feel more comfortable in herself. If she's not bothered you may as well wait a bit longer until she is.
