And did you worry about SIDS if you did it very early or at least before 6 months?

4 weeks and, no, I did not worry (any more than is normal or necessary) about SIDS. Good sleep for the whole family was my primary concern.

9 weeks. Our room, squeaky bed and snorey dh meant none of us were getting any sleep. A quieter room with blackout blinds has made all the difference. Did worry about SIDS but weighed up the odds and made my decision from there. I don't regret my decision.

dd1 6 months
dd2 8 months
ds is now 8 months is in our room, and will probably be in there for quite a while longer.

ds1 was about 10 days old because we had a tiny 1 bed flat at the time and it was much easier to have him in another room than in with us( i would of trod on him to get out of bed and we had to wait that long as he spent 10 nights in hospital). I'm a group b strep carrier and they wanted to give him AB's for a week just in case.
DS 2 went straight to his own bedroom although by then we had moved to a bigger house. he went to his own room purely because he was so much older by the time we got him home full time. he spent alot of time in hospital because he was born with a VSD(heart problems). we had to feed him and drug him regually if he was home any time in that first 7 months that it was easier to have him in a seperate room so either dh or I could sleep.
