Probably worrying over nothing, but........

DS is 10 months ols, and last week started walking. He was doing really well, and had just managed to start walking across the room unaided. However, he hasn't doen it since. I am a bit concerned, because when he walked on Sunday, my Mum was here, and she started kicking off at some kids outside (it was all blown out of proportion, and she went way OTT, as usual) Anyway, I am bit worried that he won't walk becuase he thinks that it means lots of shouting etc. Am I being a twat or am I right to be worried do you think? Is it normal for them to do something new and then not do it for a while? He won't even walk holding onto my hand now.

A little daft but very sweet.
Don't worry about it. My ds (15 mths) has only been walking probably for the last two weeks after weeks of false starts.

intergalacticwalrus · 21/10/2005 15:27

Aw, thank you. I am a terrible worrier. DP put the idea in my head (prbably jokingly) and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it!

*What is a baby walrus called?

Mum2girls · 21/10/2005 15:36

Mum2girls · 21/10/2005 15:38

CreepyJess · 21/10/2005 15:40

..'being a twat'.. lol.. .. this doesn't quite mean the same as 'being a fool' which I assume you meant.. .. it means.. being a ... a....

CreepyJess · 21/10/2005 15:41

No.. I can't type it! But twat is only one step down from that word apparently! (DH told me this.. he said twat is a Very Rude Word! )

CreepyJess · 21/10/2005 15:42

(but then he is a northerer..!)

Sorry Intergalaticwulrus.. I am rambling. Don't worry about DS.. he is very early with walking anyway.. he will do it again soon..

tarantula · 21/10/2005 16:34

bobbybob · 21/10/2005 18:25

I think you may have a point about your mum shouting igwalrus. But at 10 months he'll soon bounce back and try again.
