16mo drinking ALL his milk before bed, waking up soaking

DS eats and drinks well but won't drink milk from anything but a bottle. Hoping to get him onto cups completely, I cut down to one bottle a day, after dinner, but he will drink up to 12-14oz! Which is fine, as it's the only milk he gets in a day, but it does mean that often he
is nappy has leaked considerably when I get him up in the morning.

He used to have a bottle before breakfast but I stopped that as he wouldn't eat his food.

Should I be limiting his milk before bed to avoid the wee overload? I don't really want to reduce his milk intake as he is a bit skinny. But then I don't really want to be upping the number of bottles he has, do I? Aargh.

Any advice gratefully received!

With Ds i stopped the bottle, offered milk in cup througout day and once he had forgotten about bottle (about a week) reintroduced cup of milk only about 5 oz after bath. Its hard isn't it?

Give him less milk.. Offer milk with food.
Give him milk then stick on potty/toilet
Give him milk and change nappy when you go to bed
Give him milk and put a nappy liner (boots) in his nappy.

Is he getting enough water? Could be thirsty. Try giving plenty of water in the day. Also is he teething? Maybe he likes the feel of drinking on his gums? In which case giving some teething gel or letting him suck on a cold wet flannel might help.

My ds has milk when he gets up, and milk before he goes to bed. About 6oz each, and lots of water during the day. If he is having an especially hungry greedy day, we give him some toast or cereal before bathtime, to fill his little tum up. He is also quite a skinny child, but I think that's mainly because he is never, ever still. Never.
