Does this happen with most toddlers? Shes gone from being a quiet, reflective little soul to shouting, bellowing, singing at top volume and repeating everything to the n'th degree!

Any tips on how to help her monitor her volume and stop saying 'Mummy' or other, over and over and over and over....?

Oh, I feel your pain Ladylay! My 3 year old ds is exactly the same! And I'm afraid to say, it doesn't get much better. As yet, I have found no methods of stopping the chat. He will turn the volume down when asked to (most of the time) but he just does not shut up! On the one hand I want him to explore language and repeating is their way of doing it, but on the other hand, I would just like to sit for 5 minutes in silence without having to answer a question about a question about a question!!! I have resigned myself to the fact that its going to be like this for a while and just look forward to half 7 every night Grin

We have just collected DD1 from nursery and her teacher commented that DD1 she had found the volume knob over half term and she is right! I had a quiet little girl who played quietly never shouted sang gently to her baby sister and now yells, sings loudly and is generally noisy.

We have started asking her to use an inside voice which is quiet and gentle when we are home. As for the mummy, mummy, mummy, mummy I find myself saying yes over and over until I bore her.
