in our previously lovely 18mo. It is making me miserable. I enjoy work much more than her sometimes. In fact: my days are fine until I pick her up and I dread the hours before bed.We can get dinner into her but everything else is screaming screaming screaming. Have tried cuddles/ leaving her but no idea what is best. Cuddles often doesn't work. I don't think it is pain/ teeth but try calpol out of desperation. Tiredness (for both of us)obviously makes it worse.

Am pregnant with nr 2 but wondering how on earth one copes with this and an infant...?

Sorry. Just a bit miserable.

Cheers.

Hugs. x

What hours do you work? How much time do you have with her each day?

The two things that always work for me are:

Don't ever take it personally. You are just teaching her how to deal with emotions, same as you teach her to talk/get dressed etc.

Routine and consistency works. Plan your time with her, so she knows exactly what to expect and when. Half an hour positive attention (reading, playing, colouring etc) goes a long way, even when you are dropping with exhaustion.

It does get easier.

Life is looking better. I am eating condensed milk from the tin while whe is 'mixing' oats etc. Tears still rolling down her cheeks but not screaming.

Please GOD let this be a phase!!
