entertaining 7-month old boy

My ds, 7 months old, is getting bored with his toys. He can't yet sit up by himself, so he can't easily enjoy some of the really fabulous stuff we have for him. He isn't too interested in the activity center that we have (it has a seat in which he sits comfortably). He enjoys the jumper thingie that hangs in the doorway for about 15 - 20 mins at a time. Any suggestions? He is quite energetic and I want to challenge and entertain him! Thanks in advance!

they say Bumbo is up to 10 kg. My 6,5 mo ds is 9,5 kg. And sits on his own for a while. I don't think i'll get one of them

DD (6mths) doesn't really use her bumbo anymore as she sits quite well, although I did find ds (3yrs)sitting in it watching Thomas the other other day. Tight squeeze, but he said it was comfy!

After reading this thread I ordered Baby Mozart for my ds and also for a friends ds who turns 1 next month. Then I started wondering whether 1 might be too old to introduce it. What do u think?

Then I started wondering whether she would let him watch it as she has a thing about a TV being on when he is in the room - I guess that is another story.

as i said ds2 aged 3 thought it was cool.

It just reminded me of how much I used to be able to play on the piano!

I am the only person who is cr** at putting suction things on high chair trays. I had toys for ds1 but they never stuck, though it was bad toys. Now with ds2 have bought a very lovely clown thing to put on ds2 tray (6mths) but he pulls it off very easily and throws it to the floor. DOn't get me wrong he thinks that's a great game, but I think it would be better if it stuck. Help

codswallop,

thanks for turning me onto this thread. there's definitely some great ideas here! as i type, my dd is sitting in her playnest, sucking on a wooden spoon as though it were a lolly.

I must say that she finds the best entertainment to be the dog. The dog completely fascinates and amuses her....

Anyway, thanks again!
