Hi,
My DS2, has started waking in the night, crying histerically and is taking ages to get him back to sleep. It seems to be at the same times too! We have tried calpol and all that, thinking it was his teeth, have tried different Pajamas wondering if he's too hot/cold, tried leaving the light on incase its the dark!!! He is now waking DS1 in the process and I am expecting child number 3, which waking 2/3 times in the night is not helping with the tired/sickness feeling! Sorry to moan, was just hoping someone might have any suggestions....please!!!!!
Any advice, greatly received!

Hi
Its usually about this age when they start to dream and get nightmares. Trouble is when they do it once and get the attention they soon learn to do it again. I just made sure mine didnt get out of bed and popped in, checked they were safe and had comforters etc and then left them to whinge it out, tough the first couple of nights but worth it when they soon realise theres no point so stop. In your case i think u need to take the tough line, with another DC and one on way u need sleep!

Oh pink daisy - I've been through exactly the same with ds2. It started when he was 19 months and co-incided with arrival of ds3. It has caused so much stress in our family and only now at 2 abd a half do I TENTATIVELY ( with fingers crossed so as not to jinx it) think we are making progress. Last night was first night he slept thru. I've posted on sleep threads and honestly tried loads of tactics. In desperation tried 4 craniosacral sessions - god knows what she's done but a massive improvement. How was his birth?

Oh feck I've jinxed it. He's just started ranting gibberish and then demanded his bob the builder. Back now though without to much issue

Hi Lollystix!
We did the craniol stuff too, but did seem to make much difference. His birth was ok, but he suffered terribly with colic and reflux as a baby, but this has been fine for ages! He's always been a light sleeper, but this is definitely the worst it's been! I am so tired, which combined with the pregnancy makes me feel sick and a bit kranky!!! Hope for a miracle soon!!!!
