I just am.

I know IABU so no need to post it there.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Tell me something good or amusing to divert me from certain regret.

I do not think your thread title is conducive to getting support to be honest.

Ooopsadaisy · 13/02/2011 10:08

Probably not.

Typed in the heat of the moment.

Just slammed the door and typed.

Expecting the police and Social Services at any moment.

I have many mornings like this!!!
Sending sympathy! I blame the early mornings, im rubbish without sleep :-(

Ooopsadaisy · 13/02/2011 10:20

I'm getting attitude.

I've had plenty of sleep but I've been up since 6 and I've just asked for a bit of help.

I got the title as being witted and jestful of anger as oppossed to a pre-warning of bloodshed. Grin

YANBU to have had enough of your DC's and certainly not to de steam on here.

You are only human afterall. Grin

SixtyFootDoll · 13/02/2011 10:22

Sorry but horrible thread title no matter how pissed off you are

Thanks mumbar - I'm feeling better for just sitting down with a Brew.

Could easily make it a Wine.

I am not really going to do the deadly deed, of course. I did see the red mist descending though.

Sixtyfootdoll - you are correct. I agree - horrible title. Twice Grin.

See, I'm feeling better already!

You totoally have my sympathy. My usually placid, laidback DS has turned into a horror. We didn't really get the terrible 2's with him but he seems to be starting them now at nearly 5 :(

seanbonbon · 13/02/2011 10:27

Show me a parent who says they haven't felt like this at some point and I'll show you a liar. Grin

And of COURSE you don't meant you literally feel like killing them....it's an expression.

Ooopsadaisy · 13/02/2011 10:28

Really regretting that title now.

Can it be changed to "Please help, I am struggling to cope this morning" or something that makes me sound less axe-murderish?

I am soooooo much calmer. Thanks people!

Getting teens to co-operate on a Sunday is like King Canute holding back the sea.

For some reason when posting from my blackberry always posts twice, wasn't being doubly sanctimonious! Get their wellies on and gor for some fresh air!

mean not meant.

See? I'm on the early shift today too Smile

Ooopsadaisy · 13/02/2011 10:31

Grin Sixtyfootdoll. You are cheering me up.

Teens don't do wellies or fresh air on Sunday mornings. They skulk like bats in dark smelly bedrooms. Yuck.

OP posts:
reddaisy · 13/02/2011 10:31

At least your teens are up! Although I can totally sympathise. Can you go out and stomp around the block for a bit as at least they sound old enough to be left alone.

I am not in the least bit offended by the thread title, it is just an expression.

reddaisy · 13/02/2011 10:33

What are you trying to get them to do? Their bedrooms? Help with general jobs? If it is their rooms my mum always gave me a calm deadline, say you want them to tidy their rooms by x time or you will bag all mess up into a bin bag.

You have to be prepared to do it though! And bribe them to do other jobs maybe? Or go out for the day and leave them to wallow in their own filth?

SixtyFootDoll · 13/02/2011 10:34

Go in their rooms open the curtains and sing like Maria from sound of music! Freak them out, go on!

Ooopsadaisy · 13/02/2011 10:35

reddaisy - One has just staggered to the shower. The other is still rotting under his duvet.

I just wanted some help while I sat down with a Brew. We have visitors later and I thought someone else could do a bit of tidying up while I had a sit down. Clearly I was wrong.

Threaten x, y,z if they don't help. No cinema money/phone credit etc. Or what SixtyFootDoll says!

Ooopsadaisy · 13/02/2011 10:46

Hey we have a breakthrough!

DD has just come and apologised. She has bathroom cleaner and a cloth in her hands. She has thanked me for making a lovely big chocolate cake this morning while they were still asleep.

DS has just called out that he is getting up and that he'll clean his room himself and clear away all this debris from the living room once he's had a cup of tea.

I love my dcs. I really do.

My problem is that I am an early-riser and like to get up and on with things really early. Making chocolate cakes at 6am is not unusual for me. Teenagers just don't do this and mine certainly don't.

I've just got to learn haven't I?

OP posts:
SixtyFootDoll · 13/02/2011 10:55

Yay! As someone who is not a morning person, let them come round in their own time, baking cakes at 6am on a Sunday is so wrong
