SIL, bless her, has asked ds4 to be a pageboy and his cousin to be a flowergirl at her wedding. He will be 3.5 He is generally very well-behaved - for a 2 year old! Anyone's ds/dd done this and any tips for keeping them under control.

We bribed our four year old bridesmade with chocolate which was promised for after the service. I'd just make sure you're near the front to grab them if necessary. And don't worry too much, Prince William was a naughty pageboy at the Duke of York's wedding and everyone loved it!

I fear the company of the flowegirl who is the same age will trigger some giddiness!Grin

My ds (3 in May) was Pageboy 2 weeks ago. like all 2nd olds he can be temperamental at times but was absolutely fab on the day. We took him to the church the day before to show him what he had to do and so he wasn't too daunted on the day, which I think helped. He carried the rings (tied tightly) to the cushion on the day,and sat with us for the whole service (with only a few inappropriate questions)! As long as the bride is aware that he may not behave impeccably on the day,I'm sure it'll be fine. My ds sat through the wedding breakfast and was up dancing until after 9pm still in his tails! He genuinely enjoyed the day as much as the rest of us

DS is going to be a pageboy in May so any tips helpful. He will also be strutting up the aisle with a fellow nealry 3 year old.

SIL has been babysitting for her nieces and nephews for years so has no misconceptions about small children!Grin I'm sure there will be a rehearsal so hopefully he will know what to do. Don't know if he will be entrusted with the rings, mind you!

Have some snacks and a quiet toy or something in the church ready for him-we didn't but in retrospect would have been handy. We also made sure he went for a wee before the service, common sense I know but something that can easily be forgotten when rushing around. Take appropriate clothing for in between photos,it was freezing for my ds as his warm coat was back at the hotel-consequently we had to leave the photo session early.....schoolboy error really!

Snacks deffo a good idea but will have to be non-messy! And yes, we will remember his coat! Good point Roo!
