I used to be such a laid back kind of girl but now FFS is at the tip of my tongue almost constantly

I'll join you but in my case it's the menopause!

My daughter who has an 11 week old baby says I am psychically sending these wonderful emotions her way and causing her to join you in that internal dialogue Smile

I had to grovel to DP after yesterday's outburst and was forced to retreat to the garden in sub-zero temperatures in order to work off my frustrations!!

MrsFlittersnoop · 31/01/2011 22:09

Menopause Old age here in my case too! Grin

Frankly darlings, I'm 50 in a few days time and I officially No Longer Give A Fuck About Anything.

Except all those things I mutter FFS about. Hmm Which is just about everything these days. Politics, DH, teenage DS, University course, perpetual irritants the lot of 'em.

YANBU. You are a woman, therefore YANBU about ANYTHING, EVER! Grin

i do V signs behind the dcs' backs - i know it's really immature but it does make me feel a bit better for some reason

Tinkerisdead · 31/01/2011 22:17

Uh oh. This is me. My dd has repeated it having heard me and dh mutter it. Mines 26 months but when told not to put her hands in the fish tank, not to tip milk in her dinner, not to run through the poo she'd done on the carpet we've muttered those dreaded words.

What's worse is my dd poo'd on the carpet again and declared FFS a poo! The one time she overheard it and it's stuck. The shame when she declared it at MIL. Ouch.

quietboys · 31/01/2011 22:17

If I'm half the mother Marge Simpson is I'll be happy. Serious. DS is 2 1/2 and has just discovered running away in shops and sitting on the cat ('I riding on cat mummy!').

ConvexBetty · 31/01/2011 22:18

Ooh yes to the Vs. Not static though, got to be moving up and down.

Oh yes, I recognise this.

Unfortunately so does my (then) 3 year old dd. After I remonstrated with her for snatching a toy from a friend who was over on a playdate, she screamed (in front of the other parents) 'Oh For F**ks Sake!!!' at me, and then took off across the living room, heading upstairs as she knew she was in trouble. I managed to grab her to stop her, whereupon she shouted 'Let go of my arm, I am NOT putting up with this rubbish ANYMORE.'

Thought it was just me, so glad it's not just me. Have a 7 yr old who knows everything and a 3 yr old who thinks she's 7!

littlenuttree · 31/01/2011 22:33

This thread is brilliant! So glad to know it's not just me!

baskingseal, you had me pmsl, so much so that DH asked why I was laughing. When I told him, he cracked up too!

tethers I'm pmsl at yours. That is so much like our house I'm crying with laughter. I find that initially I'm nice to the calling mummy mummy mummy, yes darling? Mummy mummy etc I soon bellow " whaaaaaat? What do you want child?"

She never wants anything.

I can't remember the last time someone used my name. Even family refer to me through her as mummy.
