What do your girls call their lady parts?

Sorry - bit of a weird one.

My DS talks about his "winky" but we aren't sure what to call DD's lady parts. Fanny was the norm when I was a child but it seems a bit odd now?

Obivously, lady garden and fanjo are de rigeur on mnet but she is only 1.

My mum has suggested calling it her 'twinkle'?

All suggestions gratefully received. Just don't want to pick something that will seem odd to other children when she starts preschool.

We always used "noonie" when the girls were small, but I think most child carers/teachers would cotton on pretty quickly to any of the suggestions here, with the possible exception of "flower" ( @ cestlavie)

Muschi (German). My neighbour's girl calls her's pussy and I feel REALLY uncomfortable with it. Urgh.

why is vagina a "bad" word? I think it is scary to think that my kid could come home from school saying someone touched or stole her "cookie" and I would have no idea if i should call the police or pack extra snacks.

'Bits' here, for both girls and boys. It's not great but they ARE bits aren't they, complex little organs made up of several different parts, all with somewhat grown-up and technical sounding names (or in the case of vulva or scrotum, downright ugly names!)

So I cop out and it's boys' bits and girls' bits. Never had an issue and I don't imagine it would cause any horror if either of them used that term with another adult.

Schnullerbacke - Yep we use Muschi as well. It was what is was called when I was a little girl and what I call it with DD.

Lady bits or front bum. Though she has said vagina once and I didn't teach her that, she's 3.10yo.

My DD calls it her boob no idea how it started, but she refuses to call it anything else!

My DD calls hers her 'little bottom', her bum is her 'big bottom'. Very logical really and no body issues here!

I did try to teach her the 'proper' name but she misundertood what I was asking and named it after a friend

I think I will wait till she is a bit older to get technically correct with her as I imagine it will involve less repetition.

DD (5.5) calls it her 'winky bum'. She does know its proper name but thinks it's a 'weird name'.
