Just curious as its meant to be a really tiny percentage of population. As it was my first one i naively thought it would come when it was suppose to and lo and behold. I woke up at 9, felt a bit tired still so told dh going back to bed for a bit. Woke up at 12 by first contraction and had dd at 6pm! hysterical bit was that dh and i are notoriously late for everything!

ds did - but seeing as he was due on my birthday, I suppose it was inevitable!

Ds1 looked like he was going to come on his due date. I woke up and realised my waters had broken (just trickling, not soaked bed scenario) and dh and I were grinning all over our faces thinking how clever our baby was to come on his due date. Wasn't having any contractions though... should have known better.... Went into hospital and was told in no uncertain terms the baby could be another 2 days yet. Had to stay in hospital as waters had indeed broken. Was induced next day and ds1 finally arrived, after much trouble, 2 days after his due date -just as the MW had predicted. Subsequent babies were 3, 2 and 3 days late respectively, so I guess I am pretty much a 40 weeks plus 2/3 days girl.

Supposed to be 5% of women who give birth on due dates.

I went into labour with dd on my due date (evening) but she wasn't actually born until two days later!
