What OCD-type behaviours have your DCs had?

Like another poster here I'm worried about my dd's OCD-type behaviours. She's just turned 4. I oscillate between thinking 'it's just normal childhood stuff' and 'help, this is really freaky, what's wrong with my child?'. So I thought I would ask: have your DC ever done, or do they do, OCD-type stuff?

Classic behaviour in our house is: wanting toys/blankets to be in exactly the right place at bed-time; having to get undressed and ready for the bath with all the actions in the right 'order'; saving food to eat at certain times; carrying a comfort blanket around a lot and not wanting anyone else to touch it.

Am really hoping there's going to be a flood of people saying similar or even more outlandish stuff!

Thanks.

My daughter had and to some degree still has some similar routines. I always had to pull her duvet over and kiss her and her soft toy every single night, if I forgot one thing she would call me back without fail! She still has the same dressing and washing routine every morning. I suspected that because of some of her other behaviour she was on the autism spectrum but she has had three assessments and came out fine in all. So don't worry too much, my young neice and nephew also do similar things that anyone outside the family may think is odd but we love them for their individuality!!!

ok let me think, sometimes things become just part of everyday life you forget.
My 4yr old son Ryan has many rituals.
He has to open the front door if we are going out or coming in, if i forget and do it myself we have a total melt down.I have to shut the door so he can then open it.
he has a lactose intolerence so has a milk made up like formula, he has to put the water to it, and he has to have his cup.
He has to turn the tv off if my daughter does it again melt down.we have to put the tv back on so he can turn it off.
We have to read the same book every night you wouldnt believe how sick i am of noddy.
when he plays with his cars he has to line them up on the play mat before he starts playing and he always has to have his silver car.
when he sits on the sofa he has to sit on the left hand side.He has tried to sit on the other side but bless him it just seem to irritate him and he cant sit still.
When he was at nursary, i had to take him in, look at the activities on the tables, then hang up his coat, then he had to wave at the door. we couldnt hang his coat up first then look at the tables he would get upset.
