2 year old eating almost nothing

hi - this might have been covered before, I don't know but I am really worried about my 2 yo who has just gradually reduced the range and amount she eats until she now eats almost nothing... today for example she ate one big bowl of porridge, about one eighth of a scrambled egg and two strands of spaghetti and that was it, apart from a lollipop and drinking two glasses of milk.
She has been picky for a while but would eat pasta and tomato sauce in which I could smuggle loads of veggies but now there is No Way of getting her to eat ANY fruit or vegetables and I am at my wit's end...she seems healthy enough, is toddler-tubby and sleeps plenty, has energy etc..but she is getting practically no nutrients other than from dairy and carbs. Please help!

Reading this with interest as I am having the same problem with my fella, 21 months.

I am hoping it's just something he'll grow out of and in the meantime am pushing the milk and yoghurts and porridge and giving him whatever he asks for, when he asks for food, that is (rare!).

My two year old is the same, but she gains weight, is happy and extremely energetic. I think it's just a phase and try not to pander to her. She gets what she's given and usually a yoghurt for pudding, if she doesnt eat we don't make a big deal of it.

My 2.4 year old is just coming out the other side of this, after 6 months!

As long as they are gaining weight I wouldn't worry.

Mine used to love fruit but stopped eating it so we gave her an innocent smoothie (2 of 5 a day) and raisins in her porridge at breakfast so at least we knew she'd have a good start to the day.

Blimey, the diets of your two year olds seem much more varied than my 9.8 DD.
She will happily eat things like mussells, squid and octopus but refuses chicken or lamb. They only veg she will eat is lychees or pineapple and I just give her lots of juice.
She is skinny rather slim but healthy in all other respects.
DH and I just keep offering her the food in the hope that one day she'll suddenly fancy it.
In all her years, she has told us she is hungry three times.
