My 2 year old has always hated clothes...she strips her js of the minute she gets up and refuses to get dressed. When I try to force clothes on her she flips out....screaming...and throwing herself about with no regard for her own safety.

It's bloody cold and we just made her ut a long sleeved t shirt on and she's sobbing in the hall and wrestling it off.

We have tried ALL kinds of clothes...baby gros, leggings, dresses...dressing gowns...she hates them all.

If we are going out shewill wear clothes but literally as soon as we step back indoors she strips off!

When she gets chilly she lies on the sofa with a blanket!

help!

No advice but huge sympathy. My son screams like a banshee when we put him in sleeves, every single time. I just put up with it and insist. But is there a possibility your daughter is sensitive or allergic to something in her clothes, or your washing detergent?

I never thought of that beanlet...she DOES have sensitive skin...she is very pale and has red blotches if something annoys her. Maybe I will have t look into this.

Definitely consider skin sensitivity first. Try no fabric conditioner and a really mild detergent.

My DD (2.8) is happiest naked. She particularly hates having to put extra layers on to go outside when it is cold. She prefers a very soft, thermal vest and a t-shirt to wear indoors at the moment. On a good day she will wear knickers too! I have also found that she prefers leggings to tights or trousers.

Apart from the leggings, DD prefers all other clothes to be quite loose. So I buy everything at least one size bigger. She gets really upset if anything is tight around her neck or hard to pull over her head.
