has anyone else had a conversation with their children and listened to them talk about things that totally baffled them? Im asking because both myself and my mam have sat tonight and listened to my 3 year old talk about 2 people tonight and **the baby (who actually was the name of the baby i lost long before my 3 year old was born!!!) He had us totally gobsmacked especially as he said her name.He told us she was really tiny but the man Divia was big!! My 6 year old has recently told me how he crashed his car when he was older and died, its un nerving but im wondering if anyone else has had their kids tell them stories like this? Is it just wild imagination or something more??

not spooky when you think how little we know of the human brain. I'm open to everything. To reasure your DS perhaps you could assure him as it happened in a previous life allowing him to come to you now it most likely wont happen again.??

I think it's just wild imagination.

2 contributions from my 3 year old DS:

I was chatting to him, and said, " what do you want to do, Bryn?"
He turned around, and said,"I'm not Bryn, I'm Lyndon" (we don't know anyone with this name, and I'm not sure it crops up much on TV/DVD's etc!).He has called himself this before, but I didn't pay much heed. This time, I asked, "what do you like doing?", DS replied, "I built houses, and went fishing". DD then ran into the room, and DS began playing with her.

Next occasion was when we were at the village pond , feeding the ducks. DS picked up a long stick, and began 'fishing' with it.
Me: "that looks fun!"
DS "yes, I used to do this before, when I was big"

Bit disconcerting, really!

I have a friend who's little boy just stopped in the middle of breakfast and said 'mummy, when I was here before, I was on my bike and I was hit by a train and my body went soft. He then carried on eating his breakfast.....very spooky indeed!

That's very interesting. The weirdest thing about my son was his fixation on skirts when he was about two. I couldn't put a skirt on or have anything frilly in sight without him insisting to wear it. He was really happy once he was in a skirt and was spinning like mad. I've never seen him spinning before and he was never remotely interested in his clothes. And I cannot recall where he could have seen it as all the girls we know wear trousers all the time and he didn't watch TV at that point.
