How old was your baby when you ditched the monitor?

DD is 12 months. Her room backs on to ours and the wall is quite thin so we hear her through the wall. I still find having the monitor on quite reassuring - just wondered when people ditch the monitor?

I would keep the monitor anyway, because it is great when one of the household members is ill. You can get on with household chores and can be contacted anytime plus check on them anytime. I love those monitors.
