I found my dd chewing a claw from our cat- gross I know, she also lies on her belly and puts her arms under the dishwasher to retrieve cat biscuits, she eats, on average, one cat biscuit a day, I know thi is not normal but please make me feel better!

Big fat luminous green snail

HellKat · 28/09/2005 18:33

Thought my ds2 was bad .
Ds2 nearly 18 mths has had in his gob one time or another: woodlice, beetles, piece of dry cat litter, cat biscuits, carpet fluff etc etc. Anything left around will normally get munched!
Fennel- Pmsl @ the dog/tampon scenario lmao.

karmamother · 28/09/2005 20:32

My ex-husband eats his snots to this day. Thankfully, his new wife now has to witness it instead of me.

Fennel - will tell all my friends about your dog. Class.

starlover · 28/09/2005 20:36

his own poo! yuck

moozoboozo · 28/09/2005 20:40

DS has eaten his own poo twice and he has eaten a 5p coin, which he ate while being "looked after" by DP and which I found in his nappy a few days later. Poor little bugger. Thank God he didn't choke.

hornbag · 28/09/2005 20:44

I am so relieved to find that my DS isn't the only child to have dined on cat puke . When I saw the title of this thread I wondered whether or not I dare post the fact he'd eaten some -just too gross . I'm not sure why I debated posting though, as when it happened I had to text everyone and tell them (but made a point of stressing that it was Dp and not me that was looking after him at the time .
He also ate half a beach in France in June this year, or at least thats what it seemed like.

crazydazy · 28/09/2005 20:46

I daren't even read these posts I would be ill!!!

DS picked some chewing gum up off the floor in our garden the other day and I almost had heart failure!!! I'm very hysterical when it comes to germs!!!

moozoboozo · 28/09/2005 20:47

Oh yes, and DS regularly eats his own vomit.

cat82 · 28/09/2005 20:50

dd (16 months) has eaten@ dry dog food, her own poo from a nappy while i was changing her (she spat it out pronto), pebbles, mud...anything really. She once got hold of a Weavle (small beatle) and had swallowed it before i could retrieve it. Ew. Aren't babies disgusting?

Fennel- The dog i had years ago, used manage to get into the bath room bin, unwrap used sanitary towles from the little wrappers you put them in and eat them. I had MANY incidences when walking with him when they suddenly made an.. ahem unwelcome apperance [blush}

dobbin · 28/09/2005 20:54

Oh my god, I have enjoyed this thread. My ds has yet to compete with these tales. I was a little disturbed the other day to find my dh was washing ds's toys just because they'd been on the carpet. I insisted a little dirt was good for him. I shall show him this thread and hopefully he'll be more prepared for what's to come.
Btw, I clearly recall eating dog food as a child. I've no appetite for it now though.

crazydazy · 28/09/2005 20:54

moozoo that is so gross!!! How old is he?

frannyf · 28/09/2005 22:16

Ok, this one seriously tops the lot...went out for dinner tonight and ds ate a goats cheese risotto - the horror! the horror!

Not as bad as cat sick, you say? I don't think there is much in it. I really dislike goats cheese and now have to spend the night next to a goaty, garlicky toad instead of a milky-breathed cherub.

ThePrisoner · 29/09/2005 00:10

My db and I used to eat cat biscuits when we were little - my mum used to attempt to stop us by saying they were made out of mouse bones, but it made us munch all the more (and probably accounts for why I'm now veggie!!) Db used to regularly chomp on worms too.

Friend's child probably ate a snail, but she only found crunched shell in child's mouth ...

ediemay · 29/09/2005 00:27

Bloss - your spider is the first one that's had me physically gag!

moozoboozo · 29/09/2005 09:00

Crazyzady, he's nearly 10 months, and is the rankest baby I know.

HelenEmjay · 29/09/2005 12:20

My ds2 SUCKS worms - he used to eat them but now he just sits in the garden and sucks them until they are really long and clean! - loads of them!

karmamother · 29/09/2005 12:54

HelenEmjay - I've been giggling at this thread but now it's turned a bit revolting. The "sucking worms clean" really has made me feel sick. I've just had lunch which consisted of sausages, long thin ones!!

HelenEmjay · 29/09/2005 13:02

Sorry karmamother! i think i must be getting used to it - it IS revolting! doesnt say much about my cooking though as he wont touch ANYTHING i make him! - he's a grubby little monkey!

Melpomene · 29/09/2005 22:36

Yesterday dd1 did her first-ever wee in the potty. She then stuck her fingers in the wee, licked them before I could stop her and said "mmm tasty"

biglips · 29/09/2005 22:38

rabbit -poo!!! as went camping with DP and my DD last month (she was 10 months old) and there were loads of wild rabbits around and baba picked up rabbit poo and one was hanging off her lips!! (yuck! and she wanted more!! )

kath4kids · 29/09/2005 23:14

crayons, chalk (come out other end same colour they went in) woodlice, my mothers tablets (4 hours in a & e making her sick on charcoal substance. wee, rabbit poo.

Not all one child mind you between the four of them, over 13 years so not bad i guess.

notsohotchic · 21/09/2009 12:14

Hmm and I thought my ds was weird for eating fluff. But he did do it all the time.. a particular one I couldn't sit him down on without finding his mouth full of green fluff minutes later.
I did used to make my sister and friends do 'taste tests' though, as a child. And those did involve cat food.

specialmagiclady · 21/09/2009 12:18

Goose poo (PFB), cat litter (NSC)
