Night time nappy leaks - any suggestions?

Hi,

My 8.5 m/o DS has suddenly started having leaky nappies at night - he doesn't seem to be peeing any more than normal, I think it's mainly due to the fact that he's started sleeping on his tummy - the leakage is coming up through the waistband at the front. Normally use Active Fit (he's a wriggly monster!), which have been fine up until now, have also tried Pampers Dry Nites, but have the same problem. Have tried fastening the waist band as tight as it will go - to no avail! Any suggestions gratefully received - DS goes through the night beautifully if his nappy holds out, I want my sleep back!! Grin

I have found the Sainsbury's brand nappies work best at night for my wriggler - I have found Pampers and Huggies to be a bit rubbish, TBH.

I use cloth usually, when we've been away and used disposable nappies I have had leaking with ds. Putting a wrap (a nappy cover used with cloth nappies) over the top solves it. You would only need 2 as they would just need a rinse out and dry.

Have you tried a bigger size for night. Normally night time leaking for me means I need to go up a size for night.
I use Huggies Baby Dry and found they have been the best for heavy wetters

I second the above - night time leaks are nearly always solved by a bigger capacity nappy in this house!

I used to buy Nappy booster pads from Boots, they look like a maternity pad and were fine inside Pampers.

i second sainburys nappies. used them with ds and never had any leaks, not even with his horrendous, explosive, toddler diarrhoea poos.

I was having the same issue with my DD when she took to sleeping on her front. Itried doing them up tighter too, which didn't work.

I agree that the next size up nappy works - simply more absorbant material - and I find Sainsbury's good but Tesco's Baby Superfit nappies even better.

Bigger sizes and Lidl own brand!!

We had this problem with DS recently, although he is a bit older. Pampers were actually the worse ones. I haven't heard great things about Sainsburys. Never liked Huggies or Asda. Used to use Tesco but they changed them and they are really thin now. Heard good things about Lidl and was a bit Hmm about it, but they are fab!
