10wo getting morning fussing - ideas?

Consistently for te last 5 days, 10wo baby has had one or two strong fussy periods in the mornings.

She was great in mornings with a nice pattern of wake up and then feed-play in chair while I shower -feed again and fall asleep.

Now, she's kicking off as I start to feed her again. She generally ends up falling asleep on my shoulder after a lot of pacing and singing, so it seems to be tiredness, but today and yesterday she'd only been awake 90 minutes.

So - is morning (as opposed to evening, cos she's suddenly great in the evenings!) fussing a phase some babies have?

  • could she not be sleeping properly at night, to need a nap again so soon?

She's not a great napper - needs to be in-arms and they're usually short - but I figured since she sleeps a lot at night that was okay. Right now she's been dozing and sleepily feeding on and off for 90 minutes which is very unusual for midday!

I can't answer your questions I'm afraid but re being grumpy only 90 minutes after she has woken, my dd is soooo tired 90 minutes after she has woken, I put her down an hour and a quarter after I get her up and she is out like a light, so it is possible that she is tired!

90 mins is about the normal length of time for a baby of that age to be happy awake for - my 9wk old needs a nap after that.

oops!

only been awake 45 mins! if it was 90 I'd not be worried!
