Does anyone else have a five year old DS who will only wear the same set of clothes over and over again...?!

Drives me bananas!

Vent over...as you were...! MPD

My sister was like this when she was little. She lived in a velour tracksuit (it was the 70s Grin).

She grew out of it eventually (the phase and the tracksuit!). I can't remember how long it took - two tracksuits worth of time Smile

Oh that's wrong! It was the early 80s actually Smile

Yep, ds1 did that, but then again, he doesnt really need clothes now he's in school uniform. So wearing only one outfit at the weekend is a money saver!

MY DS at 3 and 4 would only wear Dr Who related tops. I had to buy 7, one for each day of the week!! He also had a favourite pair of jeans (known as his comfy jeans because they had a cotton lining). Unfortunately they were hand me downs from his elder brother and I couldn't find another similar pair anywhere so there was lots of washing involved!

Thankfully he got out of this at school when he had to wear uniform (4 going on 5).

Buy several of the same thing. Wouldn't bother me a bit - nice and easy like a uniform.

He'll grow out of it eventually.

My DS will only wear a certain style of trousers - the soft, elastic waist ones. So got 3 pairs from BHS for the winter in different colours. He is 6yo btw and has always been like this. Also will only wear a normal t'shirt with a cardie/ jumper with a hood but a hooded T-shirt if no jumper Hmm

I think for boys it's the age when they start to become aware of clothing but being simple creatures they find the first thing they like (soft trousers/England top etc) and get fixated on it thinking nothing else will do. They then stay like this for the next 70 years. I will eat my hat if DS1 is not still wearing trackie bottoms at 40.

I wish it were not so but have 5yo and 6yo boys and a DH and no evidence to the contrary.
