Has anyone had a baby that hardly cries at all?

I am on child number 4. I have had various levels of crying from the first three - the first being the worst. My fourth child is possibly an angel and only cries when hungry. The rest of the time he is happy to sit and stare into space, watch his mobile or the telly, or siblings etc. He is 10 weeks old and I think he has cried a TOTAL of 1-2 hours since he was born. Am I just amazingly lucky, or is this a bit abormal?????

DS2 didn't cry until he was three weeks old and this was when the Avent People gave us a teat with no hole in it. It was one of the first times I had left him with DH, who obviously thought he was just doing a crap job because this baby was screaming his head off. Eventually he checked the teat and found out that the poor baby was sucking for his life and getting nothing.

DH rarely complains but boy did he have a go at Avent.

DS2 has subsequently always been a placid baby, he rarely cries.

My DS was like this too. He cried when he had his nappy changed or was very hungry to begin with, but the rest of the time, he was totally content to look around. He's feisty, but very humorous now - you can usually make him laugh, even if he's really cross/upset. He's 17mo now.

My Daughter was like that, hardly every cried and if she did I knew why and could settle her...
in fact when the doctor came to do a visit after she was born we asked him if daughter was OK because she hadn't cried... he came back a few days later and she'd cried by then.......

Enjoy........
