Commando makes her vomit?

My 10 month DD has recently started commando crawling and I am pretty sure it is making her vomit. Has anyone else had similar experiences?

She is fine health-wise, has no teeth, is breastfed but eats lots of solids. Because of all this I have tried lots of solutions to make the vomitting go away: food exclusions for her, food exclusions for me. Nothing stops the vomit.

I put her down on the floor, she empties her stomach, slowly but very surely. In the stroller or high chair, no vomit. Put her down a long while after last feed, less likely to vomit.

She is not a physically astute baby and has been working on the commando for a month or more. She shows no sign of cruising or interest in standing so I am guessing she will be dragging herself round our floor for a few months more.

But much more of this and I will go insane! She reeks, I reek, and what about our carpets!!! They are in an awful way. And then what do I do about visiting and babygroup?

I am just hoping there are similar experiences out there: will it pass before too long? Or will I collapse under the pressure of one last puke?

Hi,

My 10 month old DS was the same when he started crawling and still is quite pukey now as he is still mainly milk fed.

He started commando crawling before he could sit unassisted but it was amazing how he went from commando crawling to pushing himself up to sitting from a crawling position and now to pulling up and standing - all within a fairly short amount of time. So, you might be surprised that she starts cruising faster than you think!

I think the vomiting is the result of all the moving around and rocking they do as they get mobile and of course she is now digesting her food at the same time as dragging herself around on her tummy.
