My son is the very hungry caterpillar.

I work full time, he goes to a brilliant nursery on site where I work. Here's what he eats/does in 24 hours at the moment:

0600 wake up, breastfeed (both barrels)
0700 steal half of daddy's cereal/toast
15 min walk to work/nursery in the buggy (nice fresh air).
0800 Weetabix/porridge.
playing - sandpit, sensory, outside, painting, music etc
midmorning snack - dried fruit, cow's milk
more playing
occasionally a short nap but mostly carries on till...
1200 lunch - child sized bowl of protein/carb/veg. and a bowl of pudding too, usually fruit based. all drinks are water, no fruit juice/squash/sugary.
long nap - 1.5 to 2 hrs
playing
afternoon snack - dried fruit, milk
playing
1600 teatime - cold meal, but two 'courses'.
playing
1730 home in the buggy (singing and chitchatting all the way home) as soon as I've got my coat off, 1745 double breastfeed
chasing me round the house/being chased with the hoover/bringing me books to read him
1900 another dinner - pasta and sauce, or toasted sandwich (eg a whole pitta bread with ham and cheese), or a 2-egg mushroom omelette
2000 bath and bed
0300 (only recently) breastfeed, then I'll try water, and if all else fails daddy feeds him breadsticks.

Is this normal for a toddler? I don't go in for regular weigh-ins but he's quite tall I think, not overly chubby - where's it all going?!?.

DH is 6'3 and skinny as a rake, but eats little and often. I am very average and have never in my own memory felt the need to eat anything between meals.

Sounds similar to my DS2. He eats every 2 hours minimum. Still up in night for a bottle most nights and he's now 19 months.

He's quite a big lad but starting to stretch now and not as chubby as he was.

He is also on the go constantly.
