rocking back and forth

DD2(15 months)rocks back and forth very vigourously if she gets tired, frustrated etc

And by this I will mean rocking back and forward in her high chair so vigorously that it will move across the room and make a huge banging noise.

She is doing everything she should be for her age, so I am assuming this is just her way of venting her frustration...DD1 used to bang her head against the wall or the floor.

I just wondered if anyone else's DCs have done this, people sometimes seem very surprised when they see her doing this.

My DS (22 months) does this in his highchair! He can skillfully "hop" it across the kitchen within a few seconds Grin. Also does it in the pushchair. BUT, he is a bottom shuffler and cannot yet walk so I often wonder if he's just frustrated at not being able to move any other way. I have had some concerns about my son (late meeting milestones), and wondered whether the rocking had something to do with that, but he only ever does it in the pushchair / highchair. If you have no other concerns about your DD, then I would imagine it's just her way of venting her frustration.
