Stupid question about beakers

Sorry probably a stupid question. My DD is 14 months old. I have just stopped her bedtime bottle and she seems fine with taking her milk from a beaker. But she would never drink all of it until I changed to a Tommee Tippee one. It has a soft spout and is for 9 months +, a "Tip It Up" one. She loves it and drinks all her milk from it easily. But is it a problem she is using a 9m+ beaker at her age? Should I be moving her towards an older beaker or are these just marketing ploys, does it matter so long as she gets her daily milk requirements? I have tried her with a straw one but the straw is kind of bent through the spout, even I found it a bit awkward!

Also what age should she move onto a cup/doidy, she can't manage one at the moment.

Thanks!

IME they are age suggestions, my ds was still having a bottle with a teat at bedtime when he was 2yo, but he was drinking from a proper cup at the table with his meals and had a beaker with a spout for water during the rest of the day, this was just so that he was less likely to spill it.

Move at your own childs' pace and expect to find a few different vessels that just don't work for her.

DS was having a bedtime bottle until about 18 months I think (goodness, he is only just 2 and I can't remember!). Now he has his bedtime milk in a non-spill beaker (because he likes to take it to bed), but has the rest of his drinks in an ordinary cup, or, if we are out, in a sports bottle.

no, i think it's just there to say that under 9 mnonths shouldn't use it
